Confluence: Emerging Voices in Music Research and Creativity is where student scholarship and creative work in music meet, intersect, and emerge as public contributions. As an open-access, refereed journal of the University of Louisville School of Music, it amplifies student voices across music education, therapy, theory, musicology, and creative practice.

The journal embraces a broad definition of research, welcoming written, creative, pedagogical, and multimedia work that reflects how musicians think, teach, create, and engage with the world.

At its core, Confluence is both a publication and a learning space: a place where students participate in authentic scholarly processes, where mentorship and rigor coexist, and where new ideas in music are shared with a wider community.
