Abstract
This thesis is a documentation of my efforts to organize the Robert Kingsley Papers held in the Margaret M. Bridwell Art Library at the University of Louisville. Motivated by the desire to preserve a record of his life's work, Louisville architect Robert K. Kingsley donated the collection of personal papers in 1993, shortly before his death from brain cancer. The Kingsley papers remained in its original state of disorder from 1993 to 2007, when I took on the role of archivist with the intention of making the collection available to researchers and scholars. I organized the five boxes of records that formed the core of the collection, producing supplementary materials in the form of an inventory, career timeline, list of awards, and bibliography of publications about Kingsley. A summary of the project is included in the thesis along with documentation of my process and examples of the supplementary materials.
